  • Aerial Renderings

I have had a few recent projects that consist of many stand-alone buildings in a streetscape. I have a 15 house streetscape. If it were one street level view of one house, I would charge, let's say $800. In my eyes, I would just multiply 15 X $800, assuming that they were all of about the same size and complexity. All 15 houses have different materials, so really, nothing is being reused across each building. The client went from a streetscape and closeup up of each building to two Aerials, thinking they are only now only paying for two images, instead of 15. Yes, I will save render time, but I am still modeling each building. Thoughts?

I split my offers into what the work is, x hours/money for modelling, same for lighting and cameras, materials and entuorage, rendering and finally photoshop. Then you can easily adjust depending on what they want.

I did something similar. I did each unit as if they were each a project, but I discounted the rendered view. I added the rendered view as an option, along with streetscape views. Now, they pay for each building to be modeled and textured and they add views.
