I watched a Blender video on why Srgb is wrong and how it needs to be corrected. Has anyone one seen it and if so, what do you think?

People would often say things are wrong just to make a splash and get some attention. I'm not saying this is the case here, just take it with a grain of salt.

          Best regards,

Yes, I saw it as link bait. I couldn't imagine Choas would leave something 'broken' unless there was a good reason. I saw the video as 5-year linear workflow talk.

It's not quite correct to say it is about linear workflow. It proposes using the Filmic color transform instead of sRGB. Both assume a linear workflow.

Maybe this is just adding to confusion. From long ago when prints were more common, I have "tried" to use an ADobe RGB Color Managed" workflow. I learned it from a book and confirmed that a very pro print shop I use also followed this.

so in pshop my working space is adobe rgb. From my linear workflow vray renders, .exr files, I open in max and then convert to the adobe rgb space while preserving color. This has always worked good and the image in pshop is identical in appearance to the render in vray frame buffer which is displayed with the srgb button turned on.

                      ihope this isn't too confusing.
