  • Web software?

I'm looking to create a website but I don't have much experience with the programs needed to do this.

Can anyone recomend some software that I can use to develop a site. Nothing real fancy just easy to use for now. Thanks!

it depends how much you want to spend. If you want free, i would suggest goign to download.com, and see what they have.

If you are going to pay, and you own photoshop, get the adobe creative suite standard. You will get photoshop cs, illustrator, indesign, and goLive which is the html wysiwyg program. If you already own photoshop cs, but nothing else, I think they have an upgrade to everything, but i couldnt find it.

Macromedia has a version of a web program. Its dreamweaver mx, it does what go live can do but more(asp, cfm, php, jsp, etc). They also have a suite, it comes with Flash, Dreamweaver, Freehand (illustrator), and fireworks(web image editor/creator)

You also can go with frontpage, but i dont like it so i know nothing about it.

If you're looking for something free, try TSW WebCoder. You can get it here: http://www.tsware.net/download.php

Haven't used it much, but it seems to do everything you need for putting together & maintaining a basic site.
