Offline asset management?

Hi all,

Does anyone use, or have a preferred Digital Asset Management system?

I want it to be able to index the shared network drives for images/textures/models and to assign tags etc all in a nice central location that the other artists can access.

I'm going to look at Daminion & Digikam, but wondered what else people are using.

Daminion is an absolutely wonderful multi user system for images with great support, but I wonder how you would work with models?

Looks interesting, though price is quite crazy imo for this kind of thing. I wonder if ACDSee does the same thing for less?
