  • Reduce Blue Light - Windows Creator Edition

    Hi all

For us with calibrated hardware and a color managed workflow, I take it this new feature in the Windows 10 Creator edition update is something to avoid: Reduce blue light setting

    Right or Wrong?
    Kind Regards,

I would say yes, you'd want to avoid simply turning it on in a color calibrated workflow. I use it on my s7 phone and it does make your screen's whites a bit warmer. I could imagine this could skew your color adjustment a bit if turned on. You may be able to turn it in then re-calibrate your colors and see what happens.

      Sounds like fun, NOT!

Would keep it entirely disabled. It also adjusts the blue light component and brightness at night time too. No point calibrating with it enabled as the colour settings change depending on the time so you'll be forever calibrating - also the calibrated profile will just put the blue component back to where it was before enabling the option.
