That was confirmed by one of the Discreet guys on the Discreet support forum. The date was said to be the 13th, he said that's there target, if not 13th it should be close.

based on what I saw at the launch event in LA, if you're a modeler...organic modeler that is, it seems like it would be worth it, based on some o the new tools I saw in there......also support for normal-mapping should be a nice addition..........so we'll see

It will be for us. There are a tonne of things in there that i will be using. The normal mapping is going to help out alot. The integration between CS and Reactor was impressive....from what i saw at siggraph.

I just hope everything plays nicely with Vray. Speaking of which...will a MAX 7 version of Vray come out around the same time?

This go arround they have not changed the compiler so Max 6 plugs will work with 7
