Inspired by another thread, I started testing with compostiting stuff together.
My goal is to render the grass and building with completely different GI settings. While calculating the grass pass, I don't want GI calculations on the building part slowing the render down. And during the building pass (with high GI settings) I definately don't want GI to be calculated on the grass. But somehow while calculating the building, it must take into account the bounced light and shadows from the grass and during the grass pass vice versa.
I'm not sure if this is possible. Maybe I should replace the grass with a simple plane during the building pass?
Also I don't have combustion to work with rpf files or whatever format it needs (if this applies here, not sure either...). I simply wanna use PS for placing the two renders together.
