  • 3dsmax 7 NFR

    we just got a beutifull blue pack from discreet...

    but i've noticed that it says NFR on the package....does anyone know what that means?

    just curious....thanx

    Not For Resale - You usually get this if you've been a good betatester, been part of the development team, if you win the license in a contest, or if you trade a license for something.

    If you bought max from a local dealer and paid for it the normal way it probably shouldn't say NFR (although I believe the 3ds max licence agreement says the licence isn't transferable anyway)

      If he did actually buy it from discreet and got a Lic thats NFR I would be screaming at discreet in a big hurry because NFR's are usually non-upgradable.

        Yeah Dave's right ... as far as i know its non-upgradable!! .... your Reseller probably got it on the cheap ... lolol..

          That's correct too! I have a combustion 2 NFR that is not upgradable.
