  • DOF PRO v5.0 officially released.

    Hey gang;

I'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of Check out the DOF PRO v5.0 (Depth of Field Generator PRO), the undisputed leader in photorealistic depth of field effects for Adobe Photoshop and compatible hosts.

DOF PRO v5.0 has had its core functionality greatly expanded and now includes some absolutely killer technology not previously available in any other depth of field processor. Check out the image below for a quick synopsis or better yet - check out the brand new DOF PRO v5.0 product page for a detailed breakdown of these new and exciting features!

DOF PRO has had over 12 years of industry-proven performance under its belt since its first release in 2005. Version 5.0 has seen a full year of extensive research and development in order to produce the most sophisticated depth of field processor in the industry. Every subtlety in the world of optics has been carefully studied and many implemented, marking this release the biggest in its history.

In addition to the massive list of exciting new features, DOF PRO v5.0 now also supports 16 bits / channel high color and is fully 64 bit enabled.

Check out the DOF PRO product page now and learn what makes DOF PRO v5.0 the first choice for photorealistic depth of field effects for Adobe Photoshop and compatible hosts.

Look's great, I'll check it out.

Just out of curiosity, I've never heard of your software before - yet it's version 5.0, how long has DOF Pro been out (since v1.0) ?

    ***** Ignore - answer is 2005 *****

Looks great. It's there any upgrade pricing available or just new purchases?
      www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

Unofficially there is. If you're a v4.28 customer shoot me an email.

          Hello,

This new version seems indeed amazing, very rich feature-wise !!
Is there any comparison somewhere between this tool and Frischluft Lenscare ?
          Thanks.

I have not done a comparison to Lenscare but I can say there are many features in this that Lenscare doesn't have.

I HAVE done a direct comparison to the Photoshop one because there's a huge difference. You can read about that in the "DOF PRO vs Photoshop" tab in the product page but here's some comparison pics:

I'm trying to! I'm looking into it but it will be some time before I am able to produce for AE. It's a whole other ballpark!

I've gotten many requests though - for Nuke too.

The DOF and Glow for AE I think would sell very well, I for one would be all over it. let me know if you need a tester

                        Hi Richard,

                        I've just purchased DOF Pro

Are there any plans to enhance it so as to work on 32 bit images ?

I'm moving away from Photoshop towards Affinity Photo (which unlike PS, all its filters etc do work on 32 bit).

(and in case you aren't aware, plugins for Photoshop do import/work within Affinity Photo, and AF will one day kill Photoshop ).

Be great to have it for 32bit

                        Jez

Yes - especially since we work almost always with exr files etc
