Cryptomatte for Photoshop?

It's done, it's here:
https://www.exr-io.com/exr-io-2-00/
Full Cryptomatte support, mipmaps, ripmaps, even correct reading of DeepPixel Data (we artists can't do anything with it, since Photoshop can not show it, but it is good for some scientific researches in the future, etc). Chromaticity, ColorProfiles, i think everything OpenEXR offers at the moment.
I have even loaded on my crappy workstation a 5 Gigabyte, 20 Vray Render-Passes Monster EXR-file artwork in 35 seconds. A very, very Great compliment to Vlado and CG-guys; Vray does such a great Cryptomatte sorting of objects, layers and nodes, it is so clean, so perfect - it is a dream to work with it!
It is free, use it.
Somewhere is tutorials section are even Vray Video-Tutorials about how to render Cryptomatte in Vray and design artwork with it in Photoshop.

enjoy

I could not find it in Vray, i am quite busy at the moment with other stuff. Please consult Vray Docs or contact Vlado for this feature.

I'm just now testing the new EXR-IO. It's working as described and I'm using it with the vraycryptomatte element.
the workflow I am using is to render out the .exr file form vray frame buffer and then open the 32 bit file in photoshop. all the render elements are there as layers thanks to EXR-IO. after adjustments and etc I save as a smart object and convert to 16bit. Now I can use the rest of the vray adjustment layers lie curves and etc. If I need to go back I can open the smart object and all of the 32 bit layers, masks and etc are there as before.
What I can't seem to achieve is having an alpha channel of the render (rgba) available after the file has gone thru the smart object to 16 bit step. Once in 16 bit from there is no alpha available.
Can anyone suggest a good way to bring the alpha channel into the 16 bit space? I would use it to create a mask for adding a backplate/sky/etc behind a 3d scene with building and landscape elements.
I'm spinning around in circles trying to figure out how to accomplish this.mark f.

before coming to the point of alpha channel, isn't it that Vray EXR workflow demands saving image directly through the renderer in saving FrameBuffer from the main-vray interface pannel? I don't have a proof but as far as i know saving image from FrameBuffer Window is not the way how to correctly save EXR data containers.I do not know anyone doing it this way, maybe Vlado can explain the difference (if there is one) between writing on disk during rendering and saving EXR from VFB.
