  • turning hundreds of cameras into one animated one

Feel like I nailed that in the title really, is there an easy way or simple script that can convert a selection of 100+ cameras into one animated one that jumps through all positions? Focal length are identical, just needs to be in the same position and rotation.

Thanks in advance for any help or leads - this would save a lot of time with an odd little project we have coming up.

well its not quite what you asked, but could you not just use "batch render" to fire them all off? im not sure if it allows you to select all the cams in the scene and add them in one go.. another similar alternative would be this:

never tried either, but they sprang to mind.

I considered that but I wasnt sure if batch render could render to .vrimg, plus we'll need to experiment with light cache fly through and using a single irmap for every position - which a single animated camera would make very easy. It seems like the kind of thing that should be easy to script, I wish I knew how.

          Try

          1) Select cameras(Physical camera might nor work)
          2) drag and drop cams2animatedcam.ms file in the zip file in to viewport.
A new animatedCam free camera will be there.
