Hi,
I'd like to hear what you guys think about deep learning.
I must admit I'm more than a bit scared.
But on the other hand I think its probably over hyped.
Two minute papers has quite some videos with deep learning for computer graphics and especially cg.

Awesome stuff, but also f****** scary. It looks like there is nothing it can't do better than a human could.
I know there are problems; Debugging is quite difficult and turns out to be some kind of computer psychology.
But damn this could make 90% of us workless a few years down the road.
And not only in cg, many jobs in every single business could be in danger.
Its of course a bit exaggerated.
But I think its not absolute nonsense.
