        I tried it awhile ago but didnt see much added value to what I could already do in photoshop. Am I missing something why this is so good as its mostly positive when mentioned.

          It has a lot of nice features. I use it in my workflow on every project. I got it when it cost $400 and continued using it when Google acquired it and gave it away for free. Simple things like the vignette save time. I use classic soft focus, sunshine, cool/warm and many others all the time. Yes, you can do effect manually, but it is much faster with filters, which are also flexible.
