Hi,
im currently doing a project with a building model and a landscape model. The building was modeled in mm units and the landscape in cm units.
now when i xref them in a cm template file the building model screws up the railclone objects and also multiplies the edge tex by 10x. So a rounded edge of 1cm becomes 10cm. Floorgenerator objects become 10x higher ect. I converted the railclones to poly which fixed that, but that will be a pain when doing revisions. If I have to manually edit the rest I might aswell redo the building file from scratch.
if I change the units to cm in the building file and xref it it becomes 10x the size. It seems so unintuative that you cant change units within a file with an option to convert geo to maintain its current size.
What do you guys normally do to unify the models? I want everything to be cm as that is how my material library is set up.
Couldnt find any usefull info searching adesk forums.
