Improved selection of Physical Cameras in the viewport
"Improved"? Shouldn't that just say "fixed" or "proper"? I haven't updated it yet so I hope they don't mean they did some crazy way of selecting cameras (e.g., "just right click and pick "Select camera" in the pop-up.) I also find it funny that the formatting on that line is off (there's an extra space at the start) proving this bug is haunting them until the end.
    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

I just installed it. It took about 15 minutes. Yes, their wording is classic marketing crap. We can call it CameraGate like Apple's antennagate.

I just checked and I can now pick my camera again! Justifies this quarters subscription. Oh, snap! They broke it so why pay for them to fix it?

autodesk clearly have had some serious issues in the testing department. I remember an autodesk forum guy respond to me moaning about the nightmare that was maya 2017 by saying he never had it crash on him....shows how much they test really. Hopefully they will get their stuff together.

With the lay-offs again, it might get worse.

There seems to be an issue where the delete key and other keyboard can become inactive when certain objects are pick selected. This *seems* to specifically occur when the command panel is floated. Docking it in it's usual place fixes the problem in my tests.

yes the delete key glitch is a very frustrating new "update". Many people, me included, have dual monitor or large monitor and don't wish to have to dock the command panel in order to use the delete key normally. sheeesh. Otherwise 2018.4 is working good for me so far. they did fix the camera select problem

Really? I might consider trying 2018 just for this fix alone. And it took "only" 3 YEARS to fix!

Is there any quick and easy way to roll back to 2014.3 without having to reinstall everything?

Or more specifically Control Panel > Uninstall a program > View installed updates > Autodesk 3ds Max 2018.4 Update. Franx, why do you want to roll back to the older update? Any issues with 2018.4?

Thanks a bunch guys. I have the same keyboard problem that others mentioned. Much too annoying for me plus I dont have much use for now for what that update offers.
