Hello,
I am considering making the switch back to max, from maya. Mainly for modelling tools and more plugins like forest pack pro, madcar... oh and proper curves would be cool to have back too :P
My biggest concern with switching back to max is dealing with multiple (dozen +) shots within one scene. I mainly do car work so it would be one car, possibly different shader setups, different lighting setups for each shot and different cameras as well.
I've known about scene states in max but remember them sucking quite bad, and recently stumbled upon RPmanager.
Has anyone used RPmanager as well as mayas render layers? Can you get all the same functionality with RPmanager? How about submitting multiple shots to a render farm? Does RPmanager play with Deadline or online farm submission?
Any input appreciated,
Eric
