  • Transparency in Viewport

Ever since "upgrading" to windows 10, I have several issues. The most frustrating one is that most materials seem to be transparent in viewport. Typically, I use the "standard" setting, or at least I used to use that. If it's a very simple scene, I can get away with using High Quality. But if it's an interior, forget it. Is this a driver issue? Max issue? The second problem is that my Logitech MX wireless mouse flakes out all the time. It looses focus while dragging items and will randomly start dragging other nearby items, or if I try to draw a marquee around an object, most of the time, it will only draw a partial marquee, sometimes at the start of the drag, some times at the middle... Drivers seem to be current. So glad I made the switch to Windows 10! (said no one ever).

I have this issue too. Max 2017, win10, in most cases objects with textures displayed in viewport don't get drawn. I usually swap to DX mode and then they work. But periodically I have a scene that draws fine with textures. I really haven't been able to figure out a reason as to what causes it to work or not. I'm on a NVidia Titan X Pascal.

We had this problem with Max 2017 too. One of the Max 2017 fixes the issue along with an nVidia driver update. It was a huge PITA for us, but we haven't had this problem for several months now.

Check for Max 2017 updates and get the latest drivers from nVidia.
