Howdy, fellows. I have a client who would like some pretty specific wall art and questions copyright. Honestly, I have never thought about the art I put into my scenes. I purchase online and I assume that it is good to go, but maybe not. How do you guys handle this?

Does anybody have any good abstract art I would be able to use in my work, that isn't copy righted?

To skip worrying about copyright issues I take a one-month subscription on Shutterstock (750 images for 199 euro) once per year and download everything I need...like shop windows, art, backgrounds, specific people, etc.

That's exactly what I did recently - downloaded 50 pieces of artwork for 80GBP if I remember rightly). 750 for 199 sounds like a great deal (though doubt I would have the will to find 750 images within a month).

Google Image search. Then under "Tools" select Usage Rights. Here you can filter by use, such as labeled for reuse and labeled for reuse with modification.

I did recommend this to them. They ended up contacting the artist and getting his permission to use his work.
