Anybody having issues with the mouse lagging every few seconds? It is happening in both MAX and Photoshop. It's almost making working impossible. I updated my video driver, but it didn't solve anything. Even opening Windows Explorer takes about 10 seconds.

I'm not sure if I had the same issue as you but I did notice that the mouse would pause at a consistent rate. I changed it to another USB port and it went away. Maybe this will help.

It isn't really a mouse thing, everything is delayed. Pick something and wait 10 seconds, pick a command and wait 10 seconds... Open the layer manager and wait 10 seconds..! It just took me over a minute to Boolean a hole into a plane.

Totally removing the graphics driver using DDU worked for me.

Actually, it didn't work. I thought it did, but it persisted. I tried resetting my virtual memory, which now seems to have worked. I'll let you all know if it solved my issue.

Yeah, I have it downloaded, but didn't install it yet. Things seems to be working better by tweaking my virtual memory, although Windows Explorer is still acting up. I can right click a file to copy and the wheel will spin for more than a minute. This has happened before with a Microsoft update and they end up eventually pushing out an update that fixes it.

Bobby in your case you shoudl not need virtual memory at all you have plenty of un-utilized ram.
on mine i have 256 GB RAM and i dont use any virtual memory....and i hardly have these hick ups.
However i still have the random freezes when both of my XEONS are on full load and nothing helps there.

What i found, even if i change processors affinity and number of cores working, it checks back within few minutes to full usage - for whatever stupid reason.

I Googled the problem I had and one of the solutions was turning off allowing Windows managing the virtual memory; it seemed to have worked. I set it to the recommended numbers.

Been doing that since the 90's.
1st thing I do with a new install is switch from auto to set the min (initial) and max virtual ram 4 times the amount of physical RAM

Hey Morne, as far as i ve read, with large amounts of Ram the virtual memory setting thing gets obsolete. It used to be 1.5x the amount of ram, but i my case that woudl have to be ober 400 GB of disk space at least.... something i am now willing to give up for windows especially when i have quite expensive nvme drive. Thats why i went to read about that a bit more atd found on tomshardware forums that its not really necesary with such high ram counts. The highest ram usage i had so far was 196 gb.
