  • Interior render too dark 3.4 sketchup

    Hi,

I have just converted to 3.4 on sketchup from 2. I am struggling to get my interior scene lit. I have tried putting lights in etc, panel light behind the windows and changing the sun on sketchup. Please help as I have a deadline by end of week and more scenes to vender.

Have you changed your materials from linear workflow yet? I believe Vray 2.0 defaulted to a linear workflow and 3.0 screen space. In Vray 3.0, for each of your materials that were originally saved in 2.0, you need to uncheck linear workflow in the Advanced Options section. That could be one of your issues.

      Hi,

You could check the position of the lights and make sure they do not overlap with any surfaces. Make sure they are enabled, either by clicking on their respective icon or the toggle in the right-side panel on the top-right. Additionally, you could experiment with higher 'Intensity' values for the lights.

In the meantime, kindly note that we have officially released the latest V-Ray for SketchUp update (3.60.03). You are welcome to download it from our official page https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=56
