  • URGENT!! Vray render issue, the rendered model texture color is too light

    Hi

Here is the image that I render from Vray, I don't understand why the rendered model texture color is too light? I set the vray sunlight and oceansim in the scene.
The material used in the model is Phong, I have tried many ways to lower the reflective, it improve a bit. But I don't understand why other people can render it perfectly.
The image of the ship with the vray frame buffer is render by me. The image without the
    vray frame buffer
is from the other people. The colour of the ship need to be look darker grey.

Can any one please help me?
    Thank you
    Dennis

    Hello,

Have you tried correcting the gamma of the texture? You can do that easily by selecting the File node for the texture add V-Ray attributes from Attributes>V-Ray>Texture Input Gamma.
You can find more about it here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ure+Attributes

      Hi Georgi,

      I tried to click
V-Ray attributes from Attributes>V-Ray>Texture Input Gamma. But when I click
V-Ray attributes from Attributes>V-Ray, I only see three options 1) glossiness control 2) material ID 3) V-ray material override.
I don't see any option is
      Texture Input Gamma.
      What should I do?

      Thanks
      Dennis

You need to select your texture file not the material and then add the attribute.

          Hi Georgi

I find out what issue, and I think I have fix it. I turn on the "enable colour management" option and it work now.

            Glad it's all working now

The V-Ray material is quite versatile so you can use it in most cases. You can find more about the settings here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...al+%7C+VRayMtl
