  • VrayALsurface , SSS surface ID ?

    Hello guys ,

I am using VrayALsurface and i wanted to share the SSS between multiple objects ( the sclera , a portrait and the iris ) .
But on the portrait i am using VrayALsurface ( doesn't have SSS Surface ID ) ,
But with the eyes i am using Vray FastSSS wich has SSS Surface ID so they blend nicely .

    What should i do ?
    Thanks .

The SSS Surface ID should work to blend between any sub-surface scattering shaders, so it should by assigning the same ID you have on the sss2 objects to the object with alsurface too.
Does this work in your case?

it works with each shader separately ,
like with all the objects with Fast SSS and all the objects with ALshader .
but it doesn't blend with all of them at once , i even tried it on spheres with different SSS shaders with the same " object properties node " and the same SSS ID but it doesn't work ,
it has to have the same shader .

See this scene for reference - it uses different sss2 and alsurface shaders all with the same sss id. Is it different from your setup?
