  • 2 kinds of glass problem

It seems I have 2 problems with glass

the red arrows indicate 100% transparant glas doors
the green arrow is a sanded glass door

first problem: the light doesn't seem to pass through the transparant glass doors
second problem: the sanded door has white noise

    help wanted

(the image in the left top has been made once in lightscape)
    Vray 1.46.12

Maybe Vray thinks that transperent glassdoors to a toilet is a problem

well your reflection IOR might be a cause. Try a standard 1.6 and see how that works...

make the glass less reflective, change the IOR to 1.5 (glass) like percy said and it should let light through. I would also untick translucency for the clear glass?

To remove the frosted glass grain, try lowering the QMC noise threshold to say 0.002 and also increase the samples for reflection etc in the material settings.

since your using 1.46.12 now i assume your company finally bought vray. however you really should update to 1.46.13 since there were quite a few bugs wth .12
