Transferring SketchUp Files from one Vray to another
Transferring SketchUp Files from one Vray to another
Hi. When I transfer files from a later to an earlier version of Skp+Vray - the rendering stops going through.
Is there a fix to this? Thank you in advance.
I found one solution - removing and purging all the lights. or exploding geometry? but can anyone please help me understand this issue and what's the best way to solve it?
V-Ray for SketchUp is not forward compatible. This means opening a project done in a newer version than the one currently installed is not guaranteed to work properly or at all. Unless you are trying to open a V-Ray 3 project in V-Ray 2, be advised that the latest version 3.60.03 is a freely available for all V-Ray 3 users.
If you insist on working with an older version, the only safe method would be to purge the project of all V-Ray data (Extensions > V-Ray > Tools) and begin setting it up anew.
