  • Bit Map Scale

Hi everyone help needed! I'm trying to figure out simply how to adjust the bitmap (texture map?) scale for any given __cm material in vray 3.6 for rhino 6 and can't figure it out!

    Hi,

You could use Rhino's Texture mapping tools - https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/5/help...uremapping.htm - to scale the texture of a material to a specific object.

Additionally, you could adjust the slotted Bitmap's 'Texture Placement' parameters, more specifically 'Repeat U/V'. However, please note that the 'Repeat U/V' parameter determines how many times the texture will be repeated on a certain object / surface / etc. regardless of the dimensions.

Thanks for your input Georgi! Unfortunately it looks like I'm unable to use Rhino's texture mapping tools because the Vray 3.6 materials I'm working with do not register in Rhino. In the Materials tab I'm notified that the "current renderer doesn't support this feature. I'm assuming that's because all edits to the Vray materials must be made within the Vray asset editor. I have tried to adjust the UV parameters within the asset editor but nothing seems to be changing.. Any other ideas?

Kindly note that the new Rhino materials are not supported. However, you are still able to access the 'Texture Mapping' tools by selecting the object and navigating to the 'Properties' tab.
