It might not be this but there's a version of phoenix for vray 3 and another version for vray 4 - is there a chance you've got a pair that aren't compatible?

        Hi,
Indeed this error happens when Phoenix FD cannot find the appropriate version of V-Ray. You've said you are using 3ds Max 2018, but your screenshot shows errors for vrender2015.dlr, which is the version of V-Ray for 3ds Max 2015.
Are you sure your installation of V-Ray is correct? Are you able to render scenes that do not contain Phoenix FD nodes? Phoenix builds intended for use with V-Ray (having V-Ray 3.0 or V-Ray Next in the installer name) cannot load without it. You can either fix the installation of V-Ray firs in order to use phoenix or install Phoenix for Scanline build (having Defscanline in the installer name).

          Hi Nikola,
many thanks for reply, i simply dowload and installed latest vray+phoenixfd + download demo scene file from chaosgroup.com website, when i try to open these scenes (lava, volcano, chocolate etc) show me these errors, does this mean that every time there is a new version the previous one is not loaded?

Can you please tell me the exact names of the installer files you are using for both V-Ray and Phoenix FD?

Phoenix FD is compatible with the latest versions of V-Ray and newer minor versions of V-Ray should be compatible with Phoenix FD having to reinstall it and vice versa. However changes between major releases are to big to maintain such compatibility, so we provide separate builds depending on the renderer you use - V-Ray 3.x, V-Ray Next (V-Ray 4) or Scanline. Judging from your screenshot you have installed Phoenix for V-Ray 3, is that right?

Is your V-Ray also a trial version? Currently only V-Ray Next has trial versions, so if this is the case you will need to install Phoenix FD version named "Phoenix FD 3.11.00 V-Ray Next for 3ds Max".
Also please not that there are separate installations for the different versions of 3ds Max, this applies for both Phoenix FD and V-Ray.

                Hello,

What version of V-Ray have you installed? The installer you are using is for V-Ray Next. So make sure that you have V-Ray Next installed and the install Phoenix.
