Gemvision Matrix and Vray for Rhino upgrade

Hello,

I have a copy of Gemvision Matrix 9 which comes with Vray for matrix. I can use Vray whilst in Rhino, but if I were to upgrade this Vray from version 2 to 3 would this cause Vray in my matrix to stop working? Has anyone else attempted to do this in the past and not had any problems?

If you do this, Matrix will not work.
Matrix uses Vray 2 (customized?) and if it tries to communicate with v3, it will fail.
You have to enable one or the other and make sure their files don't get mixed up.

Hello,
V-Ray for Matrix is a product of Gemvision.
As kanenas0 alrerady mentioned, Matrix comes with a bundled V-Ray version specifically tailored for their use.
The Matrix plugin and V-Ray for Rhino are not compatible. You can choose to have only one of them active at a time.
