  • Material override exclusions?

Can I exclude a material instead of objects? like, I'm setting up lighting with a clay material override, and I just wanted to exclude from the clay override materials like glass, not entire objects.

is there a way to do so?

Alternatively you can select by material and create selection sets and then just put those selection sets in your override exclude.

this would exclude the whole object anyway, wouldn't it? I have multiple materials assigned to the same objects, and I just wanted to exclude the glass materials.

If you have multisubs than indeed you will have to go with something like the script I mentioned.
