  • Editable rhino "3D TextObject" to render with vray

we often have multiple text in different positions in a scene which has to appear in renderings, and they are changing frequently.

is there any solution to have a text which is editable and also rendered in vray?
in rhino 5 or in rhino 6?

are there other rhino - vray users who need this funcion?

we asked for a programmed solution which will cost more than 3000€

    thanks for feedback

You can use Rhino's TextObject command, however, its text is not editable after being created.
If "multiple text in different positions" refers to one and the same TextObject copied serveral times in your scene, the only workaround I can offer is to have it within a block definition and then instance the block itself. This way, you can substitute the TextObject with another one while in block edit mode, and it the change will be applied across all block instances.
Another option is to use one of several solutions(user-made scripts and tools) in Grasshopper https://www.grasshopper3d.com .

For feature requests regarding TextObject functionality in Rhino, contact McNeel https://discourse.mcneel.com/.

    Kind regards,

You can use the Elefront Plugin for GH, which generates texts as surfaces or curves, and then offers an output to work with those.
