  • Proxy Spacing

So I have a high poly model chair. I put a red fabric on the seat, exported the group as a V-Ray proxy mesh. Then I undid 2 steps (the creation of the proxy, and the creation of the proxy material) to get back to my original model pre-proxy creation. I changed the seat cover color, exported a 2nd proxy mesh. When I import mesh 1 and mesh 2, you can see on the left that there is plenty of space between the two. But when I render, that space is gone and the proxies overlap.

Anyone know why that would happen? I can adjust the spacing but it's totally a move-render-move guessing game. Thanks for the help.

Figured out the issue. I was getting a pop-up that said the current model has a non-default scale, do I want to save it? Answering no to this question fixed the problem above. Hope that helps.
