Vray for rhino 6 not rendering material textures

Hello, I'm using vray for rhino 6. Materials with texture mapping show up in perspective viewport but do not render. The render just shows them as a solid color. The V-ray Asset Editor does not show any materials in the material list even though materials are assigned by layer. Any idea what is going on here??

Could you please state the version numbers of Rhino and V-Ray for Rhino you are using?
Do you recall what version of V-Ray (if any) was used for the project exhibiting the problem you described?
Is the issue reproducible with newly created projects?

If you are using V-Ray 3.60.03, try selecting all geometry and use the vrayMtlFromRhino command. Is the Asset editor properly populated once this is done?
