  • Speed boat simulation parameters to share?

    Hello,
Kinda new to creating boat water simulations..have gone through the Chaos ship tutorial...I now need to create a speed boat simulation...(see attached you tube link)...I've been playing with settings, but not getting the results I need...does anyone have some parameters to share on something similar to the video? Much appreciated in advance!!!

    Hey,

At first sight, the most important thing would be to enable Droplet Surfing and bump the value high, so you'd get the liquid and splash to spill over the calm liquid surface. By placing your geometry into the tutorial scene or the ready Ship Example Scene and speeding up the animation you should get a good starting point and if something is off, please post it here and we would figure it out.

    Cheers!

Hi, thanks for the reply....when you say increase the value, what is a number to start with? I noticed there are 4 parameters regarding the Droplet surfing...what should be placed in those number values? Surface tension (strength, Droplet break up, and radius)..Thanks again!

        Hey,

Surface Tension, Droplet Breakup and Droplet Radius are completely different parameters than Droplets Surfing. You can find more info about all of them here: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...iquid+Dynamics

Try with the highest possible Droplets Surfing value first and if it does not look right, start reducing it.

        Cheers!
