  • Vray Rhino HDRI environment and Volumetric Environment

    Hi,

I am new to Vray Rhino so please excuse my newbie question.

I am trying to add HDRI image that have sun and cloud to light my scene. My scene also have water which I want to use the reflection from the HDRI. But I also like the effect of the Aerial perspective which I have been successfully used. I am not sure what I do wrong but I cant seem to get these effect together in a scene. . I tried to add the HDRI to the Background under the Environment roll-out. But not seen any change to my render.
    Any tips for a newbie?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello, Ross,

Based on the information you provided it appears that the difficulty to display reflections properly may be related to the specific scene and the parameter values you have used.
There are no known issues when combining an HDRI for reflections and any of the Volumetric Environment effects - Environment Fog or Aerial Perspective. Depending on the particular scene adjustments to Exposure Value, lightning, materials or overall scale will help you achieve the desired render output.
For further assistance please provide us with a project exhibiting the behavior you described.
Please use V-Ray > Pack Project and send the archived scene at support@chaosgroup.com either directly or via a file-sharing service of your choice.

    Kind regards,
    Ana
