  • Strange circular lines on the flat surface

    Hi!

I am having a problem with the circular lines which are rendering on the flat surface. In this case I am using an emissive material but I had the same problem on this surface with other materials as well.
I checked the surface and this is just a simple plane which I created in Sketchup.

    Would really appreciate your help!

I have also experienced this too, not sure where it comes from. Its pretty much always on glass / transparent type or reflective surfaces that have thickness, it also might be some Z-fighting, for example the pictures on the wall may have the glass geometry touching the picture geometry but it in this case appears to be render type specific.

See this example one rendered locally 1080p Hybrid render vs 4k CPU render on Vray Cloud.

On reyane's images, it looks like some leftover light with non-smooth fall-off.
robD's could be similar but the image is too small for me to tell.

        Hello,

Thanks for your posts. We couldn't recreate the problem in our office, so I would ask you to send us the project exhibiting the issue. If you can isolate only the part which reproduces it, please send us just that. This can easily be done by using SketchUp menu's Extentions > V-Ray > Pack Project. You can send it at support@chaosgroup.com through a file-sharing service of your choice.
Once we investigate it we will be able to assist you further.

        Kind regards,
        Natali
