I am evaluating Pheonix FD. Followed the basic setup tutorial for a boat. The fluid around the boat model is not right for some reason. There is a space almost as if there was an offset around the outside of the model. The model is grouped together of many parts. I tried un-grouping but no change. When I added the other shape to the simulation to test whether or not the settings would work the fluid acted much better, touching the object. I did this at different resolutions with the same result.

I tried to post this in the Pheonix forum but was unable to create a new topic.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

You can only post in the Public section of the Phoenix forum if you are not a customer. I hope this makes sense.

Note that your geometry must always be shelled, there must not be overlapping faces, inverted normals or open edges. This is most likely the reason the simulation is not behaving as expected while the low-poly geometry works.

    Cheers!
