  • Default setting = overexposed picture

    Hey all,

I'm a bit new to V-Ray for 3ds Max. I need to modifiy an old picture scene.
    I've made a fresh installation of 3ds Max 2019 + V-Ray 3.70 (both are official).
When I open a test scene or else, it seems to work fine.
But when I create a new scene, render are all overexposed.
I can put screen of scene/render/setting.
Thanks for your help. Once this problem will be resolved, I'll be able to do the rest.

    Mick

Use a physical camera to specify a realistic EV value or press 8 (environment and effects) to set the exposure control to physical camera and specify your EV value there. Second use an HDRI in your dome slot or use a vray sun instead to start with (EV value with a vray sun, that is quite high should be around 13.8 ). Also use the color correction controls in the VFB to raise or lower the exposure and lower the highlight burn.

Thanks for your help. I've ever tried this kind of setting and it seems to be so hazardous.
I think it could be a bug from my Revit import...
When I tried with a basic scene, I can tweak to obtain what I need.
I'll try to import another file format and not a Revit Link.

      Thanks again.

Might also help to convert the revit import with vray converter. I tend to remove all materials by replacing them and also import in your own fresh template to avoid any other errors (scaling etc).
