  • bad flickering in reflection with GI set to BF+LC

    Hi guys,
i'm having bad flickering in the reflection pass when i use GI with BF+LC, i used those settings : LC subd :3000, retrace threshold:8, secondary ray bias: 0.001, i also tried to turn off "use light cache for glossy rays",
but nothing seems to help to clear those bad flickering out ,at the moment i resolved using BF+BF at the cost of some noise, any ideas what causes the problem with Light Cache?

    thank you

The video does not seem to be available. Could you provide another link? Also, it would be best to send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com for investigation. Mention this thread as well.

hermit.crab The video plays fine for me actually, both in Firefox and Chrome.

In any case, is this the CPU or GPU renderer? As Aleksander mentioned, having the scene will help to figure out what is going on exactly.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

        Hi Vlado,
@ aleksandar.hadzhiev was right, the video didn't play at all due to privacy settings, i updated the video yesterday night.

I'm afraid i can't share my scene cause is an undergoing project, and i can't reveal too much.
My scene is very simple, but heavy in terms of geometries, which are cad models, previously converted in polygons, the scene is lit with a Dome and some area lights, materials are a mix of VrScan and standard Vray materials, all rendered with the CPU renderer.

        Best regards,
        Salvo
