Did something happen to the permissions in the Blender Forum?

Edit: not the entire subforum... seems inconsistent.

I was trying to respond to a post but I seem to be unable to reply to any posts or create new ones in the entire Blender subforum. Is this something with my account in specific or is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm having the same issue here too.

andybot_cg - yes there is a change that unfortunately affected this thread. Announcements sections of the Forums have been locked for posting, the reason is we would like to use this section to inform users for available updates.
Currently, those sections are way too much abused and our updates are not very visible.
I already moved the thread to General Section which should unlock it for writing. Please test if everything works as expected now and let me know if you have any issues.
