Which one? Budget System ...

Hi,

This is my first post but i've been around the forum for almost a year...
A friend of mine wants to build a system which top priority is rendering in 3ds max 6.0... , there are several posts that discuss this matter so already have an idea... still i'd like to hear your suggestions...

Around here these 4 setups are around the same price... so which one?...

I'd personally go with the FX-55 if i had to choose, though the Dual Xeon might perform the best in this case. I say take a look at the upcoming dual core pentium cpus and see how they'll be priced. They might outrun prettymuch any current dual cpu setup.

I like the first option but maybee with a geforce 6800 GT in it especially if you want to play games on the machine as well. Go the dual xeon just because you get to see 4 buckets rendering :P...although Im not sure how the speed compares to the other options

I have a couple of raptors and they are very quick (worth it)
