  • Vray 5 Too slow

    Hey guys,

I just updated from Max 2020 to 2021, and took the chance to upgrade from Vray Next to Vray 5.

When loading my scenes though it takes forever for vray to bring up the VFB and start rendering ... any reason for that? ive made sure my lighting/render setup are the same, or is there something i need to do as i transition from Vray Next to 5?

    Thanks.

Ensure your plugins are all up to date.
These kind of issues sometimes happen with forestPro, tyFlow and such if one hasn't updated to the right versions.
If it's not the case, and you think it's a genuine issue with V-Ray, please mail support with the scene (or parts thereof) so that they can reproduce the issue and find a solution, or pass it on to the Devs.

You can't, at least for now.
The VFB is entirely new, and the color corrections of the old one are unlikely to map to the new one.
You can rebuild the layers set in the VFB2 manually, however, and then save the layer set out, so that it'll appear in the preset menu.
