  • DR - Square Color Differences

Im doing DR across the network using lightcache(1000) and irradiance maps (low), and each bucket seems to come up with its own idea of what COLOR the overall GI should be.

What do I need to do to make DR even between all renders?

Make sure all have the same system gamma settings. Make sure they all have permission to access the saved irradience map.

I think its in one of the text config files. You need to check the windows sytem level gamma as well (not just the 3dsmax one)

Wait... dont the settings carry over from the 3dsmax file it sends to render?

*edit*, apparently not, im still getting color differences in each bucket. And considering how dark the buckets are from the other comp Im guessing it is the gama.I just dont know which file goes to it.

You can prob edit the gama settings on the slaves with the 3dsmax.ini file.

Are you sure the colours are random? Check if it´s brightness differences between local and remote only. There was some issue about DR Remotes returning unclamped HDR Data if i recall right
