Purchasing Vray

hi guys,

a few days ago I've tried to purchase 1 copy of Vray Advanced throught Regsof but they answered to me that "I'm sorry, we are unable to proceed with your order. The vendor of this software does not accept purchases for your location." Just for info, my ordering location is Italy; so is there anybody out there that can suggest to me another supplier?!
I've also write to Chaos but till now, no answer.

HAhahah they dont accept orders from your location...WTF. Its software that you can only download from the web. How do they justify denying you your purchase. And you dont even download it from them, you download it from the Vray site.
Seems really dumb to me.

I wonder how many customers have been lost because of that stupid thing.

but I 've got some funny news:
for italian customers the vray price seems to be 799 Euros (not US Dollars as for the rest of the world) plus sales tax (20%)

anyone that can explain this?

there are eurpean-union wide laws that state you have to pay sales tax for internet purchases, no matter where the server/online shop is...

we also had to pay our 16% over here...
regarding the price, seems to be common practice to assume a $1 = 1€ exchange rate - tho i have to admit it sux bigtime right now with the weak dollar...

ps: just checked the price at regsoft, for non us it is 699€?
maybe you should contact a local dealer/regsoft

Hey,

How about trying ID8 Media. If regsoft won't sell it to you I'm sure they will no matter where in the world you are. And like DaForce pointed out who cares where you are located you download this software from the internet. You should be able to buy Vray if you live in Antartica for crying out loud!
