Does Vray 5.0 work with Maya 2018? Or do I have to upgrade both? And is there a non-command line version of VRay 5 for maya? So far seen only command-line versions on the download page for render slaves.

Does Vray 5.0 work with Maya 2018? And had a lot of trouble installing render slave, only found command line options on the download page. Resorted to installing a trial of Vray 3.6 standalone, installing license server, and getting it to work from there. And will Vray 3.6 on the server work with a Vray render slave on 5.0? Should be clear from the get-go that you need to install the license server from the start. Instructions are very confusing. Finally got render slave to work. However all the downloads for render slaves or render nodes seem to be command line only.

5.0 does work on 2018, I have it running on 2018.4

Thanks for the clarification. Will have to update. Now if they will put out a vray 5.0 standalone that just doesn't rely on command-line.
