  • Image synthesis theory

    Hi,

I´m trying to study on my own everything concerning image synthesis. I do have some books includeing "advanced Global Ilumination" by Dutre, Bekaert and Bala, "an introduction to ray tracing" and "radiosity" by Cohen and Wallace.
But they all have too much of a mathematical aproach.
Does someone know resources to get a general knowledge about these subjects?

    Thanks in advanced,

    Guido.

the principles of digital image synthesis by andrew glassner is very nice. focusses on theory, rather than coding. does have alot of math though too.

mmm Actually I was looking something more like an explanation on the internet, about ray tracing, irradiance, brdf, etc.
