  • Texture Mapping Issues

I am currently trying to recreate webbing similar to a bags strap using a One Rail Sweep with a single profile. However when I apply the webbing material the render is stretched at various points. I have tried using UV Editor to edit the texture map however it is already formed.

I am just wondering if anyone might know of some possible solutions to resolve this problem please.

you need to just unfold your uvs, it should resolve the stretching.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post.

If I unwrap the surface after completing a One Rail Sweep, when I open the UV Editor the mapping is unfortunately stretched.

You have to unwrap vertically so that it fits over the texture you already have, or you can unwrap with another method and adjust your texture in photoshop over the new UVs , this should be easy since the texture is just a fabric strip, I’m giving you a hint from Maya system but is pretty much the same in other packages.
