  • final render gets colored dots out of nowhere! help pls

    Hi,

I'm fairly new to the visuals game, using 3ds max 2021 with vray5... sorry for this rookie's error I guess

while rendering this final image, these colored dots decided to appear, and I have no clue as to why (see attached - around the kitchen windows & on the tree outside the living room)

I've set the light cache subdivs to 2500, and the vray settings - min subdivs 2 and max at 80. noise threshold of 0.005... rendering with brute force as primary.

are any of these settings the cause for these? could it be a material that is causing this?

I'm under the impression that the higher the values - the more precise and clean the image will be... I guess not?

thank you so much for your help!!

Hmmm, I've had a few of those, much worse than yours. And also on glass / reflections....
