  • Vray next is a disaster

What the hell was the idea to disable local subdivs? I just rendered 3 hours of an indoor scene with an sss Character and still had a lot of noise (1 frame!!). And this is done with i9. Vray 3.6 worked a lot better. I'm a lead artist in Disney animated series with more than 20 hours of render series. You guys have killed us.

I always thought the Disney guys use their very own Renderman?

It sure is an intriguingly odd post. I mean no offence to the OP but it does seem strange to have secured a project for Disney, consisting of 20 hours of completed series footage, without having
knowledge of the pipeline's main render engine changes. My guess is that there is more to this story than the original post suggests...
