VRay Sun or HDRI Creates Brighter Areas in Model

Hello everyone,

This scene shows a major issue I am looking to remedy. The sun is brighter in certain areas, changing the colors of the grass. This is not a perspective issue, as it shows from different angles. It is almost as if the sun hits in certain areas, but not others. This affected the interior brightness as well, oddly enough.

Are you using Vray fur or hair and fur with Max?
