Here we show you our test results of image upscaling with AI (artificial intelligence). The original image of a car rendering has a resolution of 1920x975pix and has a medium image quality with visible jpg artefacts. This image was scaled up by factor 4 to 7680x3900pix with the a) bicubic interpolation and b) AI (artificial intelligence) method. The image cutouts here show that the bicubic interpolation scaling can't enhance the image qualitiy. The AI (artificial intelligence) image scaling method, on the other hand, increases the image quality and brings back details through the AI learning algorithm. In some cases this image upscaling can be very useful. AI can be used to improve image quality and reconstruct image details that cannot be restored using traditional scaling algorithms.
