how to activate Distributed rendering

Hi all, i've been on this f*cking problem for a few days now, and it seems like i'm the only one having this problem.
my question is how can i activate distributed rendering in the system tab?
is there some kind of prerequisits before beeing able to enable it? right now i can't enable it as it's passive.

here is what i use:
3dsmax 7 sp1 , vray 1.45.7

Hi, I think it was disabled in the demo and test versions (could be wrong) so you may find that the only way to get it not be greyed out is to buy vray

if you are using free, maybee try the demo...is it still inactive?

and then I actually read that you are using 1.45.7....which I havnt used for a long time

quite possibly the distributed rendering feature wasnt active back then and even if it did work, im sure it had its problems. Download the latest version.

and then i realise this is the public forum.....and have mistakenly assumed that you own vray or are using the test/demo ?

it works fine in more recent versions of the beta.

ok, i thought the 1.47 WAS the most recent version, i was using 1.09 something up to now. wow , was i off.

Well if you have bought vray you will have access to the new builds. If you own vray you will be able to use DR

i got the 1.46.15 version, DR seems to work

the fact that you have that only proves further to us that your using a hacked copy. I cant in any official capacity tel you this but as someone who spent hard earned money on vray i would ask you to please refrain from posting on this forum again untill your a legal owner.

concidering that 1.46.15 is no longer on the website i tend to wonder where he "got" it from
